From 25 September 2025, annual increases in the rental value of residential and commercial property inside Riyadh's urban boundary are paused for five years, covering both existing and new contracts.
Rent for previously leased units is fixed at the last registered contract, while units never leased before are priced by agreement between landlord and tenant, and contracts must be registered on the Ejar platform.
